Building on her experience as an Assistant General Counsel to one of the nation’s largest Long-Term Care Companies, Ms. Almefty focuses her practice on defending health care providers and insurance companies in complex civil litigation.  Ms. Almefty also defends healthcare providers in class action lawsuits, including pre-certification and appellate issues, and has been involved in negotiating and executing class action settlements.  She is responsible for managing complex discovery, including nation-wide discovery and e-discovery, and works closely with clients, jury consultants and corporate representatives to develop defense strategies related to corporate liability and punitive damages.  Ms. Almefty uses her knowledge of the facts and legal issues to craft pre- and post-trial motions and develop appeals in state and federal courts.
